This presentation outlines South Alamo Regional Alliance for the Homeless (SARAH)’s collaboration with the Lab for Economic Opportunities (LEO) at the University of Notre Dame on a pilot prioritization tool to replace the VI-SPDAT with a tool that is both community and data-informed. Our new proposed tool aims to be easier to use in field and is data-informed, utilizing historical HMIS data and incorporating the assessment of case workers and those with lived experience. We will discuss the planning phases, how we gathered community and partner expertise, LEO’s preliminary findings, parts of our new pilot tool, and share about the current state of the pilot.
