KCRHA is launching a new outreach initiative this summer to increase service delivery to underserved populations while collaborating with existing outreach teams.
People with lived experience are leading and operating this initiative with a strong peer methodology as system advocates. They center relationship building, and partnerships with service and housing providers as key strategies for housing individuals. Through their community engagement, the system advocates will collect data from participants to populate a new “By Name List,” which includes geolocation of encampments and individuals. The data system containing the “By Name List” will increase the coordination and effectiveness of outreach activities serving unsheltered individuals within Seattle’s urban core.
This conference session will detail the process of product design especially around incorporating GIS mapping of encampment demographics with HMIS client data, partner engagement and conversations, incorporating client voice for system improvement and advocacy, working in the field, and early analysis.
