What’s Next: In Data, Leadership and Community

China Aquino MPH joined MCEDSV as a Systems Advocate - Program Manager in 2021. She brings over six years of experience from her time at a Community Action Agency where she managed and evaluated federal and state-funded programs in a variety of fields.

China Aquino MPH joined MCEDSV as a Systems Advocate - Program Manager in 2021. She brings over six years of experience from her time at a Community Action Agency where she managed and evaluated federal and state-funded programs in a variety of fields. China began her career as a coordinator of nutrition programs including the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and the Afterschool Snack and Supper Program. In 2018, China began working in housing systems as the Assistant Director of Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) where she managed a program addressing Veteran homelessness in six counties. Concurrently, she served as a System Administrator for the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) in Livingston County.

China holds a Master of Public Health degree from Oakland University. She is passionate about creating long-lasting social change for survivors and continues to advocate for social justice and equity within food and housing systems.
